The Temple Beth Torah synagogue is only minutes south of Hartford. Following “OLD WETHERSFIELD” and “MOTOR VEHICLE DEPARTMENT” signs will get you most of the way there. Set your GPS device for 130 Main Street, Wethersfield, CT, or get directions from where you are here.
FROM THE NORTH (HARTFORD):
- Take I-91 south to Exit 26
- Turn right at the stop sign at the bottom of the ramp and take an immediate left onto Marsh Street.
- Follow Marsh Street around to Main Street. Marsh Street initially parallels I-91 South, then curves right two times. When you get to the flagpole and illuminated church steeple you’ve arrived at Main Street.
- Turn left onto Main Street and drive two-tenths of a mile. The building (see photo above) is on the left, and the entrance to the hall is on the right side of the building, in the back.
FROM THE SOUTH (NEW HAVEN):
- Take I-91 north to Exit 26. At this point you’re about 1.5 miles from the Temple Beth Torah and will have to take a circuitous path to get there.
- At the stop sign at the end of the ramp turn left onto Great Meadow Road.
- Take Great Meadow road to the end, go under Route 3, turn left at the next stop sign, straight through the stoplight, and finally under I-91 to the T intersection.
- Turn left at the T intersection onto Marsh Street.
- Follow Marsh Street around to Main Street. Marsh Street initially parallels I-91 South, then curves right two times. When you get to the flagpole and illuminated church steeple you’ve arrived at Main Street.
- Turn left onto Main Street and drive two-tenths of a mile. The building (see photo above) is on the left, and the entrance to the hall is on the right side of the building, in the back.

PARKING:
There is no available parking on the grounds of Temple Beth Torah, but there is free parking on both sides of Main Street. (Please don’t turn into the Temple’s next-door neighbor’s driveway.) There is also ample free parking in back of the Keeney Memorial Culture Center, 200 Main Street. When you turn left onto Main Street from Marsh Street, it’s the third building on the left (see photo).
